This stunning home designed by Arch11 is one of my all time favourites. The home takes its name from some very grounded roots (wow that was cheesy). A fold in the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountain foothills, Geologically referred to as a syncline. I find this home has a flawless balance between the building and the landscape, the mixture of textures inside the home is simply perfect.

The blend of contemporary concretes and metals mix seamlessly with stone and wood. At the southwest corner thirty feet of glass retracts into the walls, dissolving the boundary between the domestic and the wild; only the cliffs in the distance bound the living spaces.
